Multilingual Language Learning Consultant

Location: Kemptville

Empower Multilingual Language Learner (MLL) students with the Catholic District School Board. This role focuses on individualized learning, coaching teachers, and enhancing student achievement.

As a Multilingual Language Learner Consultant, you will work closely within schools across the CDSBEO. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting effective instructional practices for MLL students, demonstrating best teaching practices, and collaborating with various departments to create supportive curricular scaffolds. Engage in professional development, observations, and deliver STEP assessments to evaluate progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support individualized learning for MLL students in schools

• Deliver instructional demonstrations to classroom teachers

• Coach teachers through collaborative planning

• Work with departments like Student Success and Special Education

• Administer STEP assessments and update relevant evaluations

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate

• ESL/ELL Part 1 required

• Religious Education Part 1 considered an asset

• Proficient with Office 365 and AI tools

• Willingness to travel to rural schools
