The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board seeks an Educational Assistant for a term position, 100% full-time, to assist students with special needs. Ideal candidates will have a community college diploma and 1-2 years of relevant experience, particularly with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Responsibilities include supporting learning, implementing special programs, and assisting students with various disabilities while maintaining a flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder

• Implement special programs and academic support

• Assist with physiotherapy exercises and stretches

• Conduct yard duties as assigned

• Modify learning programs for individual student needs

Requirements:

• Community college diploma in relevant field

• 1-2 years of experience with special needs children

• Valid First Aid certification/CPR Level C

• Completed Crisis Intervention training

• Knowledge of assistive technology and Ontario Curriculum
