Part-Time Applied Music Guitar Instructor

This role in the School of Music seeks a qualified individual for the 2026 Fall to Winter 2027 academic period. Candidates must have a Master’s degree in music or equivalent and proven teaching and performing experience on guitar. Working together with students, you’ll establish a course schedule while adapting to their needs and fostering their talents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach guitar to students across diverse skill levels

• Develop personalized lesson plans based on student needs

• Schedule classes in coordination with students

• Provide constructive feedback and support musical growth

• Collaborate within the School of Music

Requirements:

• Master's degree in music or equivalent experience

• Proven experience as a guitar teacher and performer

• University-level teaching experience with guitar students

• Ability to work with a varying class schedule

• Commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion
