Youth Advisor Leadership Development

Position: Youth Advisor for Leadership Development
Empower newcomer youth through leadership training with the YMCA of the National Capital Region. This part-time Youth Advisor role includes coaching, mentoring, and organizing activities.

Join a mission-driven team dedicated to fostering a vibrant community. As a Youth Advisor, you will facilitate workshops and provide essential support to young participants while developing course materials. Your experience and interpersonal skills will be key in enhancing the Y experience and ensuring youth participants achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate leadership and life skills training workshops

• Provide one-on-one coaching and mentorship sessions

• Organize weekly webinars and in-person group activities

• Support marketing outreach for program visibility

• Conduct needs assessments to help youth succeed

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in a related field

• Experience working with youth in recreational settings

• Strong communication skills, oral and written

• Current Standard First Aid & CPR C certification is an asset

• Valid work permit in Canada required
