The Ottawa Catholic School Board (OCSB) is currently seeking a Library Technician for St. Juan Diego School.

Job Description
  • Operate the school Learning Commons and provide services in an automated/digital environment to meet the needs of staff and students.
  • Promote authors, books, literacy, technology and hold special events.
  • Perform administrative functions associated with the Learning Commons and/or school.
  • Coordinate volunteers’ activities.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
  • Degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., Library Technician, Information Science).
  • 2 years of related experience.
  • Expertise with Insignia (or similar library software systems), Google Suite, computer hardware and software, mobile technology, and various AV equipment.
  • Comfortable learning and promoting new technologies (e.g., 3D printing, robotics, coding, cricut).
  • Positive team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Individuals who possess an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
Benefits and Compensation

This is a permanent 10‑month position. The annual full‑time salary range is $49,117 – $52,809, prorated for a 0.50 FTE. An employee benefits and pension package is also provided.

The anticipated start date for this position will be August 24, 2026.
