Part-Time Spanish Professor at uOttawa

Teach Elementary Spanish II at the University of Ottawa as a part-time professor this winter semester. Engage with approximately 125 students while focusing on grammar, conversation, and vocabulary development.

In this role, you'll be part of the Faculty of Arts, specifically within the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. Ideal candidates possess near native Spanish fluency and a solid understanding of A1/A2 ELE grammar, alongside cultural insights. You will follow an engaging course structure that blends oral and written exercises tailored for student enrichment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach fundamental grammar and conversation practices

• Conduct reading sessions and vocabulary enhancement exercises

• Evaluate written assignments and provide constructive feedback

• Facilitate engaging class discussions in Spanish

• Support students in developing their language skills

Requirements:

• Full-time enrollment in a graduate program in Spanish

• Native or near native Spanish fluency

• Excellent knowledge of ELE grammar (A1/A2)

• Team-oriented attitude towards teaching

• Bilingual in French and English
