The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures is seeking a qualified individual with a PhD in Musicology, specifically in Irish traditional music. Candidates should have a strong foundation in Celtic cultures and experience with at least one Celtic language. This course will be taught in English and is designed for an enrolment of up to 45 students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach The Music of the Celtic Peoples course
• Facilitate engaging discussions on traditional music
• Assess student performance and provide feedback
• Develop course materials and resources
• Participate in departmental meetings and collaborative efforts
Requirements:
• PhD in Musicology with Celtic specialization
• Familiarity with cultures of Celtic regions
• Active knowledge of at least one Celtic language
• Bilingual in French and English
