Part-Time Language Instructor at uOttawa

Become a Part-Time Language Instructor at the University of Ottawa, specializing in ESL for the uOttawa English Experience course starting August 2026. Engage students in acquiring vital language skills through a communicative approach.
This position will deliver ESL 160, a course dedicated to enhancing language proficiency in a real-world context. The instructor will implement innovative tasks that promote listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills. Applicants must hold a Master's degree in second language teaching, alongside two years’ experience teaching ESL in higher education. The role emphasizes a student-centered teaching philosophy.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline

• Two years of relevant college or university ESL teaching

• Experience in team-teaching ESL courses preferred

• Must possess TESL Certification or an equivalent

• Commitment to in-person instruction on Main Campus
