Youth Advisor Leadership Development

Position: Youth Advisor for Leadership Development
Empower newcomer youth in Ottawa as a part-time Youth Advisor with the YMCA. Guide leadership and life skills workshops while providing mentorship and support for diverse participants.

This part-time role at the YMCA of the National Capital Region focuses on developing youth leadership through engaging programming from now until March 31, 2027. Your responsibilities will include conducting training workshops, organizing activities, and delivering essential support to participants. You'll create an inclusive environment for youth to thrive while collaborating with stakeholders and the Director.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide mentorship to newcomer youth participants

• Facilitate leadership workshops and activities

• Organize webinars and in-person sessions weekly

• Conduct one-on-one needs assessments for participants

• Support marketing and outreach initiatives for programs

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in a related field

• Experience coaching and mentoring youth

• Strong communication skills in English

• Current First Aid & CPR certification is an asset

• Ability to work with diverse clientele
