Position: University Portuguese Instructor - Fall 2026
Join the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ottawa as a part-time instructor for 'Culture of Portuguese-Speaking Countries I'. Focus on enhancing students' grammar and communication skills this fall semester.

This new position requires an experienced educator knowledgeable in Portuguese language instruction, particularly at the university level. The role entails providing a dynamic learning experience while applying your M.A. in Portuguese. Classes will be conducted in-person on designated days.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach advanced grammar and cultural topics

• Inspire conversation and writing through diverse methods

• Assess and provide feedback on student progress

• Lead engaging discussions during class time

• Maintain an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Requirements:

• M.A. in Portuguese or equivalent

• Experience in university-level language teaching

• Bilingual in French and English

• Availability for in-person classes
