Introduction to Syntax.

Course

Description:

Introduction to syntactic theory, analysis and argumentation.

Expected Enrollment: 90 students. Credits: 3.

Work Hours:

39 weekly. Hourly Rate: $239.47 (2024‑2025) for teaching.

Language of instruction:
English.

Competence in second language:
Passive.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Linguistics completed or in progress, with a specialization in syntax.
  • Regular Part‑Time Professor (Professor à temps‑partiel régulier). Must comply with provincial law, including completion of all mandatory legislated training.
Benefits and Obligations

Pay: $239.47 per hour (teaching rates for 2024‑2025). Rates apply until a new collective agreement is ratified; retroactive payment will follow ratification.

Employees are required under provincial law to complete all mandated legislated training. The list of required training may be modified by provincial law.
