Celtic Music Course Instructor

This role offers a unique chance to teach traditional Celtic music to engaged students.
As a Regular Part-Time Professor within the Faculty of Arts, applicants must hold a PhD in Musicology, specializing in Irish traditional music. The ideal candidate will also possess knowledge of Celtic cultures and languages, while fluently speaking both French and English. Classes will be conducted in person, attracting an enrollment of up to 45 students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver lectures and coordinate class activities
• Guide students in exploring Celtic musical traditions
• Create assessments and grade student work
• Collaborate with faculty on course improvements
• Contribute to community and departmental events
Requirements:
• PhD in Musicology focused on Irish traditional music
• Academic background in other Celtic cultures
• Proficiency in at least one Celtic language
• Bilingualism in French and English
• Understanding of diversity and inclusion in academia
