The University of Ottawa is seeking a dedicated educator to teach the ESL 160 course at the Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute for the 2026 Spring-Summer Semester. In this part-time role, you will employ a task-based approach to foster students' communication abilities and intercultural competence. Your expertise will play a vital role in student success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach an integrated four-skills ESL course

• Utilize a task-based approach to enhance language acquisition

• Assess student progress with formative evaluations

• Encourage active participation in the classroom

• Incorporate IT resources effectively into teaching

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in second language teaching or TESL

• Two years’ ESL teaching experience at the college/university level

• Experience with similar ESL courses

• TESL Certification or equivalent qualification

• Ability to teach in person on campus
