Finish by becoming an After-School Mentor. Guide children in Grades 1-6 through fun running and reading activities at Queen Mary Street Public School.

As a volunteer mentor, you'll help children stay active, build confidence, and develop a passion for reading every Wednesday from 3:40 to 5:40 pm. Engage in various fitness activities, one-on-one reading sessions, and literacy games that will enrich their learning and social skills. You don't have to be a runner—just a heart for mentoring!

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in engaging fitness activities with children

• Read one-on-one with young students

• Assist in serving healthy snacks

• Lead fun literacy games and educational activities

• Support students in building self-esteem and friendships

Requirements:

• Minimum age of 16 years

• Willingness to undergo a background check

• Understand volunteer code of conduct

• Comfortable commuting to the program location

• Passion for mentoring and education
