Courses will run from July 6, 2026 – July 16, 2026
- Ontario College of Teacher's Certificate;
- Primary/Junior/Intermediate qualifications;
- Knowledge of School Mental Health Ontario Resources would be an asset;
- Qualifications with respect to specialized subjects will be required, as per Ministry regulation.
- The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario is developing a collection of mental health lessons and activities for Kindergarten to Grade 8 classrooms.
- One French teacher and One English teacher will be hired to work under the supervision of the Mental Health lead for eight days (July 6–9 and July 13–16).
- The goal of this work is to utilize and adapt existing School Mental Health Ontario lessons and activities into a user-friendly format for classroom use.
- Teachers will attend an in-person orientation session with the Mental Health Lead, at KBO at 9:00 a.m. on July 6th.
- Additional virtual meetings will be scheduled (dates to be determined).
- The remainder of the work may be completed remotely.
- Daily hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., including a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
