Become a vital part of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ottawa as a Teaching Assistant for the English Language course, ESL 130. Engage students in developing essential language skills through an interactive curriculum.
The selected candidate will assist in delivering ESL lessons for Fall 2026, focusing on a student-centered approach. Responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, facilitating discussions, and attending regular meetings to report on class dynamics. Previous ESL experience and a solid grasp of English are highly beneficial for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the delivery of integrated language lessons
• Engage students in meaningful discussions
• Prepare and present lesson plans collaboratively
• Report on student interactions and academic progress
• Attend meetings with faculty for instructional planning
Requirements:
• Proficiency in English with teaching background
