Grade 5​/6 Teacher at OCSB

The Ottawa Catholic School Board seeks a Long Term Occasional teacher for Grade 5/6 English. Engage students in a supportive learning environment while covering for a teacher on leave.

This full-time LTO assignment offers a chance to contribute to the OCSB community. Qualified applicants must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers, and have completed Sexual Abuse Prevention Training. The role is essential to maintain educational consistency and support student learning during the absence of a regular teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cover for a teacher on leave in Grade 5/6 English

• Prepare engaging lesson plans and activities

• Maintain classroom discipline and support student needs

• Communicate effectively with staff and parents

• Attend staff meetings and participate in school events

Requirements:

• Good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers

• Completed Sexual Abuse Prevention Training through OCT

• Proven ability to engage diverse learners

• Strong communication and organizational skills
