The YMCA of the National Capital Region is hiring an Employer Liaison for its Pre-Apprenticeship Home Renovation Program. Focused on providing employment services and recruiting candidates, this role requires effective communication and strong facilitation skills. You'll assist immigrants and Canadian citizens in entering the construction industry through comprehensive support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver employment services to aspiring trades professionals
• Facilitate the program and ensure effective participant engagement
• Enhance community awareness of YMCA Trades programs
• Support participants throughout their job search
• Recruit and connect participants to employment paths
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in a related field
• Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages beneficial
• Experience in job matching or counselling
• Strong skills in curriculum development and facilitation
• Valid work permit required
