Grade 4 Teacher at OCSB

The Ottawa Catholic School Board (OCSB) is urgently seeking a Long Term Occasional teacher for Grade 4 Core English coverage. This role requires an Ontario College of Teachers certification and specialized training.

As a qualified educator, you will help maintain continuity for students during a teacher's leave. You need to hold good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers and complete Sexual Abuse Prevention Training through OCT. This role emphasizes the importance of providing a stable learning environment and adhering to OCSB values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging Core English lessons to Grade 4 students

• Support students' academic growth and social development

• Collaborate with staff to maintain curriculum standards

• Ensure safety and well-being through effective classroom management

• Participate in school activities and community events

Requirements:

• Valid certification with the Ontario College of Teachers

• Completion of Sexual Abuse Prevention Training

• Experience in teaching core subjects recommended

• Strong communication skills with students and families

• Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom
