• A. Deliver engaging visual arts instruction aligned with curriculum standards for middle school students.
• B. Design and implement lessons that develop students’ artistic skills, creativity, and critical thinking.
• C. Assess and monitor student progress through projects, portfolios, and classroom participation.
• D. Maintain a safe, organized, and well-managed classroom/studio environment.
• E. Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles, abilities, and needs.
• F. Integrate art history, cultural awareness, and cross‑curricular connections into instruction.
• G. Manage art supplies, equipment, and budget, ensuring proper usage and inventory control.
• H. Collaborate with colleagues, communicate with families, and participate in school‑wide activities and professional development.

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. Master’s Degree with 3 to 5 years of experience in a school setting preferred.
• Educational and/or professional background in teaching middle school visual art courses. Knowledge of art fundamentals (drawing, painting, design, art history) is required.
