The teacher collaborates in the effective operation of a Catholic education program by supporting the goals and spirit of Catholic education in general and the school programs in particular; ensuring an effective instructional program; continuing in professional growth; encouraging student educational growth.

- A. Deliver engaging visual arts instruction aligned with curriculum standards for middle school students.
- B. Design and implement lessons that develop students’ artistic skills, creativity, and critical thinking.
- C. Assess and monitor student progress through projects, portfolios, and classroom participation.
- D. Maintain a safe, organized, and well-managed classroom/studio environment.
- E. Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles, abilities, and needs.
- F. Integrate art history, cultural awareness, and cross‑curricular connections into instruction.
- G. Manage art supplies, equipment, and budget, ensuring proper usage and inventory control.
- H. Collaborate with colleagues, communicate with families, and participate in school‑wide activities and professional development.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. Master’s Degree with 3 to 5 years of experience in a school setting preferred.
- Educational and/or professional background in teaching middle school visual art courses. Knowledge of art fundamentals (drawing, painting, design, art history) is required.
