Position: Part-Time Spanish Teaching Role

For the Fall 2026 semester, the University of Ottawa seeks an experienced part-time Spanish professor in the Faculty of Arts. Teaching will emphasize the development of both oral and written comprehension, focusing on grammar and vocabulary. Candidates are expected to leverage digital teaching methods while managing classroom dynamics effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct students in Intermediate Spanish I with engaging lessons

• Conduct oral and written practice sessions

• Oversee class management and related administrative tasks

• Employ Brightspace for hybrid teaching interactions

• Engage with other faculty for curriculum enhancement

Requirements:

• Spanish M.A. degree and ongoing Doctorate registration

• Near-native Spanish proficiency (C2)

• Bilingual in French and English

• Proficient in teaching B1/B2 Spanish levels

• Adept at teamwork and collaborative initiatives
