Grade 1 French Teacher; LTO

Position: Grade 1 French Teacher (LTO Assignment)
Provide essential coverage as a Long Term Occasional Grade 1 French Teacher with the Ottawa Catholic School Board. Engage students while preparing and planning effective French lessons during this temporary assignment.

The OCSB is on the hunt for a dedicated teacher to cover for a teacher on leave. Applicants must hold good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers and complete required Sexual Abuse Prevention Training. This role emphasizes effective French instruction for Grade 1 and collaborative lesson planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Grade 1 French curriculum and manage classroom

• Develop and prepare lesson plans for students

• Maintain classroom discipline and engage students

• Collaborate with staff on effective teaching strategies

• Support a diverse and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

• Ontario College of Teachers good standing

• Completion of Sexual Abuse Prevention Training

• Demonstrated experience in teaching French
