Position: Student Part-Time Spanish Professor Opportunity
Teach Intermediate Spanish II at the University of Ottawa in a part-time capacity. Help students excel in grammar, reading, and conversation within a hybrid format.
The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at the University of Ottawa invites applications for a part-time professor for Intermediate Spanish II starting Winter Semester 2027. Candidates must have native or near-native fluency in Spanish and a solid understanding of ELE grammar (B1/B2). Teaching experience in a hybrid environment will be valuable as you foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom for a cohort of 35 students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead instruction in Spanish grammar and conversation

• Utilize hybrid teaching methodologies

• Assess and provide feedback on students’ written and oral work

• Encourage active participation and engagement

• Create a welcoming and respectful learning environment
Requirements:

• Native or near-native Spanish language skills

• Excellent grasp of ELE grammar (B1/B2 level)

• Full-time enrollment in a graduate Spanish program

• Experience teaching foreign languages is favorable

• Bilingual (French and English) proficiency required
