UOttawa Part-Time Language Course Instructor

Teach Elementary Spanish II as a part-time instructor at the University of Ottawa this winter semester. Engage with a diverse student body while focusing on essential grammar and conversation skills.
This position within the Faculty of Arts will allow you to lead courses for 125 students in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. Candidates should possess near native fluency in Spanish, a comprehensive understanding of A1/A2 ELE grammar, and insights into Hispanic cultures. Your contributions will enhance students' language competence through targeted exercises.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver lessons focused on essential Spanish grammar

• Guide students through vocabulary enrichment exercises

• Evaluate and provide feedback on student work

• Foster a participatory and immersive classroom experience

• Assist students in achieving their linguistic goals
Requirements:

• Must be a full-time graduate student in Spanish

• High proficiency in Spanish required

• Strong background in ELE grammar (A1/A2)

• Teaching experience in foreign languages is a plus

• Bilingual capabilities in French and English
