Research Support Librarian at CNL

Location: Chalk River

Elevate research initiatives with CNL as a Reference & Outreach Librarian. You will provide critical reference services, support compliance, and enhance library outreach programs in a hybrid environment.

CNL seeks a Reference & Outreach Librarian to connect with scientists and researchers. This role combines a strong background in library services with the ability to conduct in-depth information analyses, develop advanced search strategies, and ensure copyright compliance. Your contributions will promote library resources and elevate service quality throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support research teams with project embedding and work plan development

• Conduct in-depth information needs analyses with advanced search strategies

• Evaluate and communicate findings from credible information sources

• Coordinate reference management tools and citation verification services

• Deliver advanced literature searches while ensuring copyright compliance

Requirements:

• MLIS or equivalent education required

• 3 to 5 years in library work, specialized in reference services

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Experience in library marketing and outreach is a plus

• Security clearance eligibility required with a minimum 7-year history
