Long Term English Teacher

Position: Long Term Occasional English Teacher
OCSB invites applications for a Long Term Occasional Teacher position in Grade 4/5 English classes. Ideal candidates will be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers and have completed necessary training.

The Ottawa Catholic School Board is looking for a dedicated educator to step in for a teacher on leave. The successful applicant must hold valid qualifications, including completion of Sexual Abuse Prevention Training through OCT. This role is pivotal in ensuring students receive continuous learning during the absence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver core English curriculum for Grades 4 and 5

• Foster an engaging and inclusive classroom environment

• Collaborate with staff to support student needs

• Communicate effectively with students and parents

• Ensure adherence to school board policies

Requirements:

• Valid certification with the Ontario College of Teachers

• Completion of Sexual Abuse Prevention Training

• Experience in classroom management strategies
