PSY Mentor Teaching Assistant Position

Join the University of Ottawa as a PSY Mentor Teaching Assistant in the Winter Semester. This role focuses on direct student interaction and academic support within the Psychology department.

The University of Ottawa is seeking two individuals to fill the PSY Mentor Teaching Assistant role. Candidates will be responsible for supporting various instructional tasks such as grading, exam proctoring, and facilitating student engagement. An Honours Baccalaureate in Psychology and enrollment in a relevant graduate program are required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate training sessions for students

• Assist faculty with marking and grading tasks

• Proctor exams based on course requirements

• Attend in-person duties on campus as needed

• Foster connections between instructors and students

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or equivalent

• Current MA or PhD enrollment in Psychology

• Availability for on-campus responsibilities

• Completion of required university training

• Capability to contribute positively in educational settings
