Join our team as a part-time Instructor for IPA 6136 in Ottawa starting January 2027, focusing on advanced individual counseling skills. Classes run twice a week.
This part-time role involves teaching IPA 6136 Internal Practicum Individual Counselling and Psychotherapy I. The course aims to enrich students' counseling skills through a blend of theoretical learning and practical application. Applicants need to hold at least a Master's degree in Counseling or a related field, with substantial clinical experience to facilitate effective learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver 6 hours of course content per week
• Supervise 1-2 hours of clinical practice sessions
• Teach advanced counseling concepts and skills
• Liaise with clinical supervisors for student progress
• Foster sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds
Requirements:
• MA in Counselling, Psychotherapy, or a related area
• Professional College registration is mandatory
• Significant clinical experience in relevant specialties
• Experience in teaching and supervision essential
• Passive knowledge of second official language
