Support environmental initiatives at the University of Ottawa as a Graduate Research Assistant with Professor Ryan Katz-Rosene. Manage seminar logistics and foster research collaboration amongst students and faculty.
This exciting part-time role for Fall 2026 invites a motivated second-year or higher PhD student from the Institute of the Environment. Your key tasks will include organizing the bimonthly seminar series, coordinating workshops, and managing the quarterly newsletter.
Your role promotes a collaborative research environment that bridges connections between diverse scholars.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize the Institute’s bimonthly Seminar and Workshop Series
• Solicit and coordinate speakers and participants
• Promote events through institute communication
• Assist in preparing the quarterly environmental newsletter
• Foster collaborative research initiatives within the Institute
Requirements:
• Current PhD student (minimum 2nd year)
• Experience in event management and community engagement
• Strong skills in communication and teamwork
• Interest in building academic networks
• Mastery of English communication skills
