Regular Part-Time Professor

Design a digital computer to execute a given instruction set.

• Design digital computers.
• Perform register transfer and micro operations.
• Design the instruction set, CPU and CPU control.
• Engage in basic machine language programming.
• Use pipelines for CPU design.
• Design the memory unit.
• Design the Input-Output subsystem.

• Excellent knowledge of course subject matter, demonstrated by having taught similar or related courses or by relevant work experience.
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer.
• Regular applicants must have a doctorate in a field related to the course (especially when the course is specialized) or have relevant work experience after obtaining a Ph.D.

Part‑time professor, regular, 52 hours per week. Hourly rate $239.47 (2024‑2025). The hourly rate does not include vacation pay or statutory pay. The contract includes payment for 52 hours instead of the usual 39 hours; the professor must attend tutorials at least one hour per week on average. Teaching is delivered in person.

Rates will be applied until a current collective agreement is ratified; retroactive pay will be applied after ratification. An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational requirements and demonstrated experience.
