As a key member of the Strong Start team, you will coordinate the Letters, Sounds and Words™ Program, ensuring it meets the needs of children in various Ontario East communities. Your skills in relationship building and communication will be vital as you engage with educators and funding sources. You will handle program management, community fundraising, and public presentations to highlight literacy importance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and support new program sites
• Liaise with school boards and community partners
• Provide training and support for volunteers
• Maintain program partner databases
• Help create program-related communications
Requirements:
• Degree in Literacy Studies or related fields
• Background in primary education preferred
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Experience with virtual platforms and Microsoft tools
• Ability to travel within Ontario East
