Shape the future of trades education as a Part-Time Automotive Professor at Algonquin College. Engage students and create effective learning environments while leveraging your extensive industry expertise.
In this role, you will facilitate learning in the Automotive and Mechanical Trades department. Bring at least five years of field experience and a minimum of two years in teaching to design and update courses collaboratively. This position focuses on fostering inclusive educational practices and staying current with technological advancements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guide student learning and facilitate an engaging environment
• Design and update automotive courses with industry input
• Define and evaluate student learning outcomes
• Incorporate educational technologies into teaching methods
• Provide tutoring and academic advising for students
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Apprenticeship Training
• At least 2 years of teaching experience
• Qualifications in Truck and Coach Technician, Auto Body Repairer, or Automotive Service
• Strong knowledge of assessment practices
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
