Become a pivotal part of Algonquin College as a full-time Professor in the Aircraft Maintenance Technology Program. Deliver engaging instruction and shape future industry leaders through innovative teaching methods.
This position is essential for developing course materials, utilizing educational technologies, and providing academic support to students. The successful candidate will be responsible for course delivery across multiple terms while ensuring compliance with learning outcomes and assessment standards. Mentoring and guiding students and faculty while promoting the program are also key components of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and revise Aircraft Maintenance courses
• Deliver scheduled instruction across multiple terms
• Provide tutoring and academic advising to students
• Assess student progress within assigned courses
• Engage in community outreach and program promotion
Requirements:
• Licensed AME or DND AVN QL6A qualification
• Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in a related field
• Minimum two years of postsecondary teaching experience
• Minimum five years of practical experience in aviation
• Strong knowledge of educational technologies and student success strategies
