Overview
Head Start National HQ Missionary role with Catholic Christian Outreach (CCO) involves serving in a team environment at CCO’s National Headquarters in Ottawa, Ontario. The role supports the mission of proclaiming Jesus, building leaders, and engaging in evangelization and accompaniment as part of a dynamic missionary team.
Responsibilities- Work directly as part of a dynamic team in one of the following CCO departments:
Human Resources;
Finance and Properties;
Stewardship and Development;
Events;
Missions; or Media and Marketing. - Engage in the Head Start formation year and begin employment with CCO four months prior to the start of the program, with employment beginning December 2026 (details outlined in the formation program schedule).
- Contribute to National Mission Partnership Development (MPD) by helping to build a team of mission partners whose financial support covers salary and ministry expenses.
- Receive world-class training in evangelization and intentional accompaniment as part of the program.
- Participation in ongoing evangelization efforts and church-building activities as part of the CCO mission.
- Salary aligned to the provincial minimum wage with consideration for experience, based on a 40-hour work week; salaries increase with years of experience.

CCO National Headquarters, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; in-person work requirements apply. - Formation program details include timelines: end of December start, MPD-related activities, and orientation in May; further training occurs in the following months.
- Interest in evangelization and serving the mission of proclaiming Jesus and building leaders within the Catholic Church.
- Willingness to participate in CCO’s mission, culture, and faith-based initiatives, including leading or participating in CCO faith studies and evangelization activities as appropriate.
- Ability to commit to the program structure and timeline outlined for Head Start, including pre-start training and initial ministry activities.
- Location requirement: work at CCO’s National Headquarters in Ottawa, Ontario.
- Selection may require references as part of the application process (typical requirement is three references: one employment reference and two character references, with at least one reference attesting to professional qualifications).
