Registered Early Childhood Educator

Empower young minds as a Registered Early Childhood Educator with the OCDSB in Ottawa. This part-time role focuses on play-based learning for Kindergarten and school-age children.

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will collaborate with EDP staff to develop engaging educational programming. You will implement activities that enhance cognitive, emotional, and social development for both Junior and Senior Kindergarten students as well as school-age children in a nurturing environment. This role is crucial for delivering quality play-based education during before and after school hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead extended day programs at designated elementary schools

• Design engaging activities to support child development

• Communicate effectively with parents and staff

• Work collaboratively in a multicultural setting

• Model positive adult-child relationships during activities

Requirements:

• Two-year Early Childhood Education diploma or equivalent

• Registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators

• Minimum one year of child care experience

• Valid First Aid/CPR certification

• Police Records Check for Vulnerable Sector necessary
