Description
:Psychedelic drugs are quickly gaining attention as catalysts for transformation and growth, particularly among those with mental health conditions that have generally been considered difficult to treat. This course will survey a range of topics related to the neuroscience of psychedelics including how psychedelics exert their mechanisms of action in the nervous system, the role of various transmitters in maintaining mental health symptoms and the potential role of psychedelics in reversing these symptoms, the various neurological effects of psychedelic drugs, contraindicated use of psychedelics with other psychiatric medications, and more.
