High School Math Tutor

Join Oxford Learning Nepean as a part-time Math Tutor and inspire high school students to succeed in mathematics. Enjoy the support of pre-planned lessons and comprehensive training.

We’re looking for dedicated individuals available for after-school and evening tutoring sessions, with the possibility of Saturday mornings. A firm grasp of the Grades 9-12 curriculum, particularly in advanced functions and calculus, is essential. This role allows you to utilize your teaching skills while adhering to a proven tutoring philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tutoring for up to three students at different levels

• Conduct all lessons in person, no online teaching involved

• Implement Oxford Learning’s teaching methodologies

• Complete regular updates and notes on student progress

• Maintain a supportive and professional environment

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification in a math-related field

• Prior experience tutoring or teaching at the high school level

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong math skills and ability to explain concepts

• Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory
