Position: Support for Special Needs Students
Join the school community as a Casual Educational Assistant focused on supporting students with exceptional needs.

Your role will require flexibility in on-call assignments at various schools.

In this position, the Casual Educational Assistant will deliver essential support to students with diverse learning needs, including those on the autism spectrum and with developmental delays. This role involves participation in tailored academic programs, behavior management, and other essential support strategies for students with complex educational challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with autism and behavioral challenges

• Participate in academic support and special programs

• Support students who are deaf/hard of hearing or visually impaired

• Help with physiotherapy exercises and academic tasks

• Manage yard duties, toileting, and pool support tasks

Requirements:

• Diploma in Developmental Services or Child and Youth Care

• 1-2 years experience with school-aged special needs students

• Valid First Aid certification and CPR Level C

• American Sign Language Level 3 proficiency

• Behavior Modification training experience
