Math Tutor High School Students

Position: Math Tutor for High School Students
Enhance your teaching experience as a part-time Math Tutor at Oxford Learning in Nepean, Ottawa. Empower students in Grades 9-12 with tailored, pre-planned math lessons.

Candidates will work evenings and some Saturday mornings, ensuring a commitment until June and possibly into the summer. A strong understanding of high school math concepts, particularly in algebra and trigonometry, is important. Follow the established Oxford Learning methods to ensure students receive the best education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tutor three students simultaneously at varying skill levels

• Deliver lessons face-to-face according to schedule

• Adhere to Oxford Learning's educational methods

• Write post-lesson summaries for student progress tracking

• Foster a professional and engaging learning atmosphere

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or certification in math education

• Proven experience tutoring high school mathematics

• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal

• Ability to effectively multitask in tutoring sessions

• Completion of vulnerable sector screening required
