Part-Time Professor in Physiology of Activity

The University of Ottawa invites applications for a part-time teaching position in Physiology of Physical Activity for the Winter Semester 2027. Engage with 160 students while delivering this foundational course on Tuesday afternoons.

This role requires a Master's degree in Human Kinetics or a related field, along with experience in university teaching. You will cover essential physiological concepts relevant to physical activity in a dynamic classroom setting. The course takes place in person, primarily scheduled for Tuesdays from 2:30 PM to 5:20 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lectures on physiological aspects of physical activity

• Foster a collaborative learning environment for students

• Evaluate student performance through assessments

• Maintain office hours for student consultations

• Prepare course materials and ensure curriculum alignment

Requirements:

• Master’s in Human Kinetics or relevant field

• Teaching experience in a university setting is preferred

• Strong understanding of physical activity physiology

• Availability for Tuesday afternoon classes
