French Immersion Teacher Grade 5​/6

Become a vital part of the Upper Grand District School Board as a Long Term Occasional French Immersion Teacher for Grades 5 and 6. Deliver quality education in English subjects while fostering student success.

This 0.1 FTE position at Spencer Avenue is a short-term assignment effective from September 2, 2026, to June 30, 2027. You will be responsible for maintaining educational standards and enhancing student well-being in collaboration with school leadership. We seek a dynamic educator who is committed to nurturing diverse learning environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide continuous quality instruction during teacher absence

• Support student achievement and well-being initiatives

• Collaborate effectively with school personnel

• Implement Ontario Ministry of Education standards in lessons

• Prepare engaging lesson plans tailored to curriculum needs

Requirements:

• Valid Junior teaching qualifications

• Strong classroom management skills

• Effective communication with students and staff
