Library Children's Program Coordinator

Position: Library Children's Program Coordinator Role
Empower children's education as a Library Children's Program Coordinator until October 31, 2026. Deliver engaging programming for preschool to Grade 8/9 at public library branches.

This role focuses on coordinating children's programming services and assisting in the library’s overall operations under the Branch Manager’s guidance. You’ll utilize various technology strategies while maintaining the circulation desk and providing reference services. Leadership and training of branch staff are essential duties, as is your collaboration with the Adult's Program Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging programming for children in preschool to Grade 9

• Support library services through circulation desk operations

• Provide reference assistance and technology recommendations

• Lead and train other branch staff effectively

• Interact with the public, demonstrating initiative

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Early Childhood Education (ECE III) or equivalent

• 3 to 5 years of experience in children’s programming

• Ability to work independently and make sound judgments

• Familiarity with electronic information resources

• Strong collaboration skills with library staff
