Job Description Main responsibilities
  • Ensure an excellent level of customer service to Senators, MPs, parliamentary employees and visitors
  • Inventory management and control
  • Product and store merchandising
  • Cash management and control
Important tasks
  • Ensure that daily operations run as smoothly as possible
  • Ensure Boutique cleanliness and appearance
Qualifications

You must:

  • Be enrolled in a college or university program
  • Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident
  • Have an interest in customer service and teamwork
  • Possess good interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work some weekdays and weekends
Additional Information

The selection process will include an interview that will consist of answering behavioural, situational or knowledge‑based questions related to the retail industry as well as a second language oral proficiency test (oral

C). You will be asked to provide a copy of your school schedule for the next semester. You may also be asked to provide proof of Canadian citizenship or permanent residency.

Every offer of employment is conditional upon a satisfactory pre‑employment security screening. If you are being considered for this position, you will be asked to complete a security form and undergo verifications which include background and security assessments.

The Parliamentary Boutique is open weekdays and weekends from 8:30am to 5:30pm daily and is open year‑round except for Canada Day, Christmas day and New Year’s Day.
