Early Childhood Educator at OCDSB

Support the cognitive and social development of young learners at the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board as a Registered Early Childhood Educator. This part-time role requires dynamic leadership for play-based programming.

You will collaborate with extended day program staff at designated elementary schools, providing high-quality educational experiences for Junior and Senior Kindergarten students. The ideal candidate will have child care experience and be committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement play-based educational programs

• Collaborate with EDP staff to enhance student learning

• Lead activities before and after school for students

• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students

• Model healthy relationships and positive discipline

Requirements:

• Two-year college program in Early Childhood Education

• Registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators

• At least one year of child care experience

• Valid First Aid/CPR certification

• Police Records Check within the last six months
