Early Childhood Educator at OCDSB

Shape young minds as a Registered Early Childhood Educator with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. This role focuses on dynamic play-based learning for children in a supportive environment.

OCDSB is seeking creative educational leaders for a part-time position, working 17.5 hours per week over a 10-month period. You'll collaborate with the Extended Day Program Team to deliver educational programs, enhancing the cognitive, emotional, and social development of Kindergarten and school-age students. Your work is vital in creating an inclusive space that promotes well-being among diverse learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engaging play-based educational programming

• Collaborate with EDP staff for effective learning experiences

• Support cognitive and social development for students

• Lead extended programs before and after school

• Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements:

• Two-year Early Childhood Education diploma or equivalent

• Registration with Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators

• Minimum one year of childcare experience

• Valid First Aid certification/CPR required

• Police Records Check for Vulnerable Sector required
