Outreach Team Instructional Design Role

Join Actua as an Instructional Design Specialist and drive impactful STEM education in Ottawa, Ontario. This role focuses on creating and implementing engaging programs for youth, particularly in remote communities.

In this position, you will be part of Actua's dedicated Outreach Team, responsible for developing hands-on STEM experiences tailored to diverse cultural contexts. Your expertise will enhance workshops and camps aimed at inspiring youth in science and technology, while promoting equity and inclusivity in educational programming. You will also test and adapt materials to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create hands-on STEM content aligned with educational goals

• Conduct prototypes testing for program delivery

• Deliver workshops and events across Canada

• Train and support educators on new content delivery

• Collaborate with content partners for relevant programming

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in relevant field with a focus on education

• 1-2 years in lesson planning and development

• Valid driver’s license for required travel

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

• Bilingualism in English and French is a plus
