YMCA RECE Educator - Full Time

Become a key part of the YMCA of the National Capital Region as a full-time RECE Educator, dedicated to enriching children's lives through quality education. This 12-month contract starts in September 2026, focusing on diverse learning experiences.

In this role, you’ll implement the Y Playing to Learn curriculum while ensuring children have a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment. Aiming to meet individual needs, you will work closely with children and fellow educators. Open communication, problem-solving, and collaboration are at the heart of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute educational programs tailored to children

• Encourage self-esteem and conflict resolution skills

• Ensure teamwork among staff for effective supervision

• Adhere to YMCA guidelines and practices

• Prepare snacks and assist with housekeeping in programs

Requirements:

• ECE diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred

• Excellent English communication skills required

• Minimum two years of experience with children

• Registered RECE Educator in good standing

• Current CPR and First Aid certifications required
