RiverviewAlternative School
We are seeking creative, dynamic, and committed teachers to join our team at Riverview Alternative School. Welcome to Riverview Alternative School (also known as "The River"). We are a K-6 school and home to over 280 students. Our mantra is "Go with the flow!" Our school is truly a collaborative, creative and compassionate group of educators, Office Administrators and support personnel.
Riverview has a strong lens on diversity and equity. Our focus is on natured based learning. You will often see our students exploring our beautiful site in rubber boots, snowshoes and cross country skis. We pride ourselves on providing safe spaces for all our learners.

Process for selectionA minimum of 3 qualified applicants will be offered an interview, including:
- At least three (3) teachers, who are currently employed as an occasional teacher with the OCDSB, and who have the required OCT qualifications and who best meet the criteria outlined in the job posting.
- If fewer than three (3) qualified applicants apply, all qualified applicants will be interviewed.
It is the expectation that a teacher who accepts an assignment must agree to complete the assignment as posted.
