We are seeking creative, dynamic, and committed teachers to join our team at Fisher Park Public School.

Fisher Park PS offers a Regular English program, Early and Middle French Immersion, and the Alternative program (Summit). We draw students from many locations across the OCDSB including, Elmdale, Devonshire, W.E.Gowling, Connaught, and Hilson, and from the five JK-6 alternative schools. Upon completion of grade 8, most of our students attend either Nepean HS or Glebe HS. Our mission is to foster a lifelong love of learning and create a positive environment of mutual respect.

Ideal candidates will support the fulfillment of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board’s (OCDSB) Strategic Plan to enhance the quality of education in the school, and the District, by creating a positive and inclusive school climate, learning and workplace environment. Candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and respectfully, with a human rights and equity perspective, to foster student success, achievement and well-being.

All Occasional Teachers are eligible to apply for Long Term Occasional postings for which they are qualified. If you are fully external to the OCDSB, you may apply to this posting if you have the required qualifications.

Please be advised that our order of consideration for Elementary LTO's is as follows:

  • Current elementary occasional teacher applicants, followed by
  • Qualified external applicants.

  • At least three (3) teachers, who are currently employed as an occasional teacher with the OCDSB, and who have the required OCT qualifications and who best meet the criteria outlined in the job posting.
