Early Childhood Educator at OCDSB

Become an integral part of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board as a Registered Early Childhood Educator. Support Junior and Senior Kindergarten students with play-based learning and development initiatives at designated schools.

This position offers a term role with a focus on enhancing educational experiences for young learners. Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to deliver high-quality early learning programs that foster cognitive, emotional, and social skills. Your creativity and leadership will play a pivotal role in creating engaging environments for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teachers in daily classroom activities

• Lead before and after-school programs for students

• Provide play-based educational support for Kindergarten pupils

• Model healthy relationships and promote positive discipline

• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students

Requirements:

• Completed Early Childhood Education program or equivalent

• Registered with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators

• Minimum of one year of childcare experience

• Valid First Aid certification/CPR

• Clear Police Records Check for Vulnerable Sector
